At Maple Jam, you will find the highest quality microphones and processing gear for vocal and single-instrument overdub recording. Greg prefers and uses microphones from Groove Tubes, Shure, Audio-Technica, Soundelux and Earthworks. Digital recording is done on state-of-the-art, PC Audio Labs Dual Core PC and Boxx Technologies computers. We use Yamaha/Steinberg Nuendo as our primary recording software. To assure optimal digital accuracy, we utilize Apogee converters and Big Ben word clock. Mic pre's are all tube, Vipre, Tube-Tech, and Mastering Lab mic preamps along with other vintage outboard gear Massenberg Parametric EQ, Lang Tube equilizer,
Maple Jam is equipped with an interesting lineup of vintage tube amps and cabinets for instruments (including Vox, Fender, Line 6, and Groove Tubes) along with a Yamaha Motif 8 weighted key controller and an array of Oberbeim a 12 analog synths (including a custom built Matrix 12, and a VZ-1 subtractive digital synth.
Maple Jam has a portable recording unit for location recording featuring Presonus Audio, FireStudio to use at any venue to capture and reproduce the quality of the original performance.
